Total Eye Care

We offer a wide range of services in our office. We care for patients that have perfect eyesight as well as for patients that are legally blind. There are a large number of conditions and care options that patients have; however we do not provide all types of eye care. One of our responsibilities as primary care providers is to ensure that patients are cared for by the most qualified provider and that their eye care needs are met in the most competent and convenient manner. Thus we use the term total eye care to describe our services.

As a rule we do not provide surgical services in our facility. We have been able to establish relationships with the finest surgeons and sub specialists in our area to assist with these patient needs. We will also make every effort to recommend the best surgeon for the specific type of eye problem that you have. We are proud of the relationship we have established with these highly qualified doctors and in most cases share the responsibility of caring for your eyes with them. We term this type of relationship co-management. The term co-management refers to the care relationship where more than one practitioner is responsible for your eye care. Through this combining or sharing of your care, your total eye care needs are met. This allows each practitioner to provide the services that they do best.

• California Retinal Consultants
  Vitreoretinal specialists provide comprehensive medical and surgical treatment for all disorders of the retina, macula, and vitreous. They focus on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of these conditions. Robert F. See, M.D., Alessandro A. Castellarin, M.D., Dante J. Pieramici, M.D., Ma'an A. Nasir, M.D., and Robert L. Avery, M.D. co-manage with Dr. Amundsen.
• Spencer Eye Center
  We have worked with Louis Spencer, M.D., since 1985 and with his son Gregory Spencer, M.D., since 1994. Both of these physicians are highly trained and specialize in providing primarily cataract and glaucoma services. They are the only doctors to run their own surgery center to that ensures total quality and staffing control.
• Robert Maloney, M.D. is one of the pioneers of modern LASIK surgery in the United States and at the forefront of the refractive surgery field. We help manage patients before and after their LASIK or other refractive procedures.
